07:18 pm - OMG THEY ARE HERE, THEY ARE ALL HERE AND ALIVE! YAY PUPPIES!
So it's finally over! My little dog gave birth to 7 healthy pups! Heres what happened -
Well things started at 3pm yesterday afternoon, when I was OUT! Typical Athena! Of course me being me, I raced home... haha, waste of time really, she was in and out of the first stage of labour until 12.30 this afternoon! Then she suddenly went into labour, and gave birth to a baby girl! It was brown and white, and took ages to feed! The second one came along just over an hour and a half later, a jet black one. she had that one sorted in an instance! then all of a sudden, Number 3. A jet black girl. Also no problems. No. 4 came along 20 minutes later, brown and white with mismatched ears! (a boy) there was about an hour between the next one. this was also a boy, and we think maybe blue. Then came number 6, a girl that is very dark, but might be blue OR brown. then for an hour, she seemed settled and relaxed. we thought that was it! But then Mr. 7 came along and there was a bit of a panic. he couldn't get out of the sac, and I had to get him out. then he wasnt breathing, but a little poke of his chest sorted that out. then Athena cut the cord to far in, and there was blood everywhere! but it soon stopped. After an hour or so I managed to take her outside for a wee. She cried the whole time, but I had to walk her round a bit so emma could do a quick switch with the blankets and hot water bottle. Now mother and babies are starting to doze. although she doesnt like it if i leave the room. so yes, many sleepness nights ahead! She seems very happy however, if tierd! I should have pictures up soon, and I'll let you know if any more appear in the night!
